Khopra Ridge
A high grassy ridge west of the ABC trail, looking at Dhaulagiri. Community lodges. Fewer people. A week, give or take.
Khopra is a high open ridge west of the Annapurna Sanctuary trail. You walk through forest and pasture to a grassy shoulder around 3,660 m with Dhaulagiri in the face and Annapurna South along the wall. The lodges sit on that ridge. It feels farther from the jeep road than Poon Hill, and you meet fewer people.
Khayar (Khayar) Lake is an optional extra day above the lodge — a hard, high walk, not a village, and not a place you sleep. Treat it as a side trip or skip it.
