- Lakeside Baidam. The tourist shore: boats, bakeries, live music, guesthouses, and Lakeside prices. Walk it north–south in twenty minutes.
- Damside Quieter end of Phewa, closer to the dam, Devi’s Fall, and the road out. Fewer menus in English, better mountain angles.
- Mahendrapul The actual city. Banks, cloth shops, dal-bhat, buses. Come here when Lakeside starts to feel like a set.
- Chipledhunga New Road, Prithvi Chowk, the commercial grid. Hospitals, offices, and the kind of lunch a clerk actually eats.
- Sarangkot The ridge for sunrise and take-off. Stay up here if you want the mountains in the window and the lake below.
- Begnas & Rupa The other lakes. Twenty-odd kilometres east. Weekends, fish, and a Pokhara that is not Lakeside.
- Pame / Peace Pagoda The far shore. Boat across, climb to the stupa, or walk the dirt road around. Monkeys, forest, the city as a model.
