Forest and villages west of Phewa, close enough that you are not on a jeep to Nayapul. A ridge that looks back at the lake.

Panchase is the ridge west of Phewa, forested, with Magar and other hill villages on the way. You look back at the lake and the city instead of walking away from them. On a clear morning the Annapurnas sit on the northern skyline. Spring brings rhododendron. It feels like a hill walk out of town, not a Himalayan approach march.

The high point is a ridge and a small temple area around 2,500 m — woodland and pasture, not ice.

Start from Bhadaure by jeep, or walk up from the west shore (Pame). Community lodges are the beds — fewer than Ghorepani, so do not treat it as a hotel strip. Still ACAP country. Days are a usual range; mud in the monsoon is real.
