Smaller, quieter sister of Begnas. Birdlife, a few homestays, almost no nightlife. A morning, not a week, unless you want that.
Rupa is Begnas’s smaller neighbour, still in the same Ramsar lake cluster. Birdlife is the usual reason to come: the shoreline is less built-up than Phewa or even Begnas. A few homestays; almost no nightlife. A morning is enough unless you specifically want the quiet.
The two lakes sit close enough that people treat them as one outing from Pokhara. Bring insect repellent in the warm months. Do not expect Lakeside services.
