Pokhara airports
Pokhara International (PRIA) is the new field east of town; the old domestic strip still sits closer to the lake. Kathmandu is about 25 minutes in the air, six to nine hours on the road. Confirm which airport your ticket uses.
Pokhara has two airfields. Pokhara International (IATA PHH, ICAO VNPR) opened on 1 January 2023 east of town and is built for jet airliners. The old domestic strip still sits closer to the lake. Kathmandu is about half an hour in the air if the weather holds, six to nine hours on the road. Confirm which airport your ticket uses — people still get this wrong.
Taxis from the new field to Lakeside cost more than from the old one. Domestic schedules change with fog, rain, and the mountain wave. This is not a booking desk.
