Pokhara is the desk for the Annapurna treks, not the trail. The walks themselves — how they look, teahouses or lodges, and a usual number of days — are on Treks. ACAP permits are handled in town; jeeps for the trailheads leave Lakeside before dawn.
Hire a licensed guide and, if you want, a porter. Season, snow, and landslides change the roadheads — ask a current desk, not a five-year-old blog.
